It’s Time to Run for a Position on the Board of Directors
Hello Property Owners,
It’s time for the big election. And no, we’re not talking about Washington. We’re talking about the one that takes place annually in The Woods of Preston Property Owners Association. It’s the election where Property owners must appoint a board of directors to work with the association’s property owners to make sure the community’s finances, physical maintenance and other day-to-day business remains on solid ground.
According to our By-Laws, CCR’s and Texas Property Code § 209.00593 Election of Board Members the association must provide notice to the association members soliciting candidates interested in running for a position on the board. There are three (3) positions that are up for election this year.
Therefore, The Board of Directors are requesting all that are interested in running for a position on the 2021 Board submit a BIO/Resume which will be placed on the website and their names placed on the Election Ballot. The Deadline for submission is November 23, 2020. This date will give the Board time to compile the data and submit it to the Homeowners. Election Ballots and Maintenance Fee Notices will be sent out on/after December 15, 2020.
The Annual Meeting of the Woods of Preston will be held on January 25, 2021 at the Woods of Preston Club House.
